This image was made using traditional copper plate etching and printing techniques. Unlike digital prints, etchings are individually inked and printed by hand on an etching press.  For this reason, fine art prints are considered a multiple original and are NOT a reproduction. 

For the edition variées (E.V.), each print has a completely unique monoprinted chine collé layer. The monoprints were created by printing dyed kozo paper with handcut stencils in multiple layers with oil based ink. Once dry, they were individually hand cut in the shape of the shell.
